Overview

Emergencies are dealt with daily in veterinary practices ranging from a simple wound repair to a haemoabdomen or GDV. This webinar will enable attendees to select the most appropriate drug(s) for emergency cases. Specific examples will be used to build upon the initial principles of drug selection.

Learning Objectives:

1. Actions of Commonly Used Drugs: Become familiar with the effects, both good and bad of drugs commonly used for sedation and anaesthesia.
2. Drug selection: Knowing the effects of these drugs, become familiar with which drug is best suited to which type of emergency.
3. Case Examples: These will be used to bring together the knowledge gained from drug action and selection.
